After more than ten days away from home, FlaBasquete ended the series of matches in São Paulo and Mogi das Cruzes this Saturday (12) with a great victory over Bauru. At Ginásio Municipal Professor Hugo Ramos, in Mogi, Mengão won 90 to 73 over the opponent. Hettsheimeir was the top scorer of the match with 27 points.

Hettsheimeir opened the scoring with a three-pointer for Mengão and then scored again with an assist from Olivinha. Yago converted from outside the paint, forcing Bauru, still scoreless, to stop the game with seven minutes remaining in the first quarter. Rafael Mineiro got his first points with a three-pointer (11-2), followed by Hett, who added two more. Mengão continued to thrive, scoring three more consecutive baskets (20-10). Yago, from outside the paint, scored and assisted Hettsheimeir to score again (26-10). Franco Balbi came in and converted, closing the period at 28-13.

Another three-pointer was converted for Flamengo, this time by Chuzito González early in the second quarter. The Argentine scored two more to extend the lead to 33-16. Balbi followed suit with his fellow Argentine, also adding five points. The Argentine duo shone again with a beautiful pass from the number 6 to Chuzito (40-20). Jhonatan Luz scored, and Olivinha, with two consecutive three-pointers and another two-pointer, gave Mengão even more leverage in the period (50-27). Hett was fouled and converted two free throws, as did Chuzito, with three, and Flamengo went into halftime up 55-37.

The third quarter began much like the second, with Chuzito scoring a three-pointer. Bauru came back stronger and cut the lead to 58-45. Gustavo De Conti called a timeout, Hettsheimeir returned to the court and quickly converted two points, followed by two free throws. Chuzito was free on the fast break and dunked (64-45). Balbi, from distance, scored another three, with Mineiro following suit (70-50). 

Olivinha, with two free throws, got Mais Querido's first points in the fourth quarter (72-58). Chuzito, with three, Hett and Yago, followed by Balbi (twice) and Rafael Mineiro, extended the lead again (86-68). Two points from Hettsheimeir closed the period and the match at 90-73.
