Flamengo signs American point guard Dee Bost

Former Galatasaray and EuroCup champion, 35-year-old athlete arrives to reinforce the team in the first part of the season

Flamengo has signed 35-year-old point guard Dee Bost for the first half of the 2025/26 season. The American, who plays for the Bulgarian national team, joins Flamengo on a four-month contract, which is subject to renewal. Standing at 1,88'84" and weighing XNUMX lbs, the player boasts experience in some of Europe's top basketball leagues and arrives to further enhance the Flamengo's point guard.

A graduate of Mississippi State, where he excelled as a versatile three-point scorer, Bost trained with NBA teams like the Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers, but built his professional career primarily in international basketball.

The point guard played for big names such as Zalgiris Kaunas, AS Monaco, Khimki and, especially, Galatasaray, where he was a key player in different spells between 2021 and 2024. In addition, he won significant titles such as the Polish League (2016, being elected MVP of the finals), the Leaders Cup in France (2017) and the EuroCup with Monaco in 2021, as well as the French Cup in 2023. For the Bulgarian national team, he played in EuroBasket 2022.

Last season, Bost played for clubs in Türkiye, Spain, Qatar, and Puerto Rico. He will wear the number 3 jersey.
