Flamengo achieves its tenth victory in NBB 6
Mogi das Cruzes is the current victim; Marcelinho shines and finishes as the top scorer of the night, with 35 points.

Flamengo's tenth victory in the sixth edition of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) came thanks to a stellar performance by the red-and-black team. At the Tijuca Tennis Club gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, the "Mais Querido" (the most beloved team) prevailed for most of the match, defeating Mogi das Cruzes 92-76 in a 15th-round match. Forward Marcelinho led all scorers with 35 points. With this result, the team remained in second place in the competition.
"The team came out very strong and focused, knowing it would be a tough game. Mogi das Cruzes plays very physically, and we had the merit of starting the match strong and focused. We held them to just a few points in the first half, and I think that was our greatest achievement. I'm happy to have contributed well and done what I do best, which is attack. The athlete earned praise from coach José Neto, who also praised the team's excellent teamwork. "In today's game, we managed to establish rhythm, which was something we planned and thought out, as their team would demand a lot from us. They started even stronger than we expected, but we were able to withstand it very well, as we prepared very well for the game. Marcelinho's performance was due to his ability to exploit the team's movements to allow him to finish. He had fantastic performance," he said.
Other individual standouts included Meyinsse and Gegê. The American hit all seven two-pointers he attempted and finished the night with 22 points. The point guard led the game in assists, with nine total, and also had five defensive rebounds.
