Flamengo crushes Bauru, wins Friday in the NBB and retakes the lead in the competition

Sixth victory in the competition, leadership secured, and a show at their rival's home ground. A perfect night? You could say it was pretty close. With a resounding 77-47 victory, FlaBasquete crushed Bauru at the Panela de Pressão gymnasium and reclaimed the top spot in the NBB with 13 points, the same as Franca, but with a 90-81 overall lead. The two teams will face each other next Thursday at 20:45 PM in São Paulo in the match that will determine the top spot in the standings.
The red-and-black victory was undeniable. Even knowing their opponent would be missing several players, Flamengo took no chances and built an early lead to avoid any surprises at the end. Olivinha, having a great night, led the way with 14 points. Marquinhos, with 12, and Davi, with 10, also stood out. But it was the defense that stood out. The team grabbed no fewer than 56 rebounds. This made the 47 points the lowest ever by a visiting team in the competition's history.
The match was uneven. With the initial absences and additional players who were injured during the match, Bauru suffered against the greater energy and strength of Mengão, who were looking to retake the lead and had that extra fuel in their excitement.
