A game to remember. This Friday (15), Flamengo hosted Austin Spurs at Arena Carioca 1 with one goal in mind: to reach the FIBA ​​Intercontinental Cup final once again. With a gala performance and no scares, the Rubro-Negro won 90-58, shone on the court and earned the chance to fight for the second world championship on Sunday. The highlights were Balbi with 19 points, Marquinhos with 17 and Deryk Ramos with 14.

The first quarter started tensely. Playing better, the Austin Spurs managed to open a good lead and forced Gustavo De Conti to stop the game. However, the initial scare soon turned for Flamengo, who saw Franco Balbi turn the game around, making the score 20-15. After that, the situation was all Flamengo's. The three-pointers started falling, and the "Mais Querido" began to manage the scoreboard very well and managed to go into halftime with a large lead, closing at 4-29.

Marquinhos took center stage in the third quarter with his big three-pointers. Flamengo continued to shine while the Spurs tried, unsuccessfully, to stop the team's strong attack, which closed with a 67-40 lead. Then, they took advantage of the final quarter to further increase the historic score, as it was the first time a Brazilian team had defeated a North American team (NBA or G-League).
