With one win and one loss in the first two rounds of the 1st U-15 Boys' Youth Cup, being played in Asunción, Paraguay, Flamengo took the court this Thursday needing a positive result to stay alive in the South American competition. With another excellent performance from Douglas, who recorded a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds, in addition to eight blocks, the red-and-black team had no trouble crushing Lanus of Argentina, 70-39.

In addition to Douglas's great performance, center Matheus with 13 points and winger Léo, the game's top scorer with 20 points, were other highlights of the team led by coach Marcos Hygino, Marquinho.

"We played our best game of the competition against an opponent who was also fighting for qualification. We had a completely different attitude and made the match easy. Matheus and Douglas played a decisive role offensively, but Henrique, who only scored eight points, was very important defensively, neutralizing Lanus's main player. We did our part and still have a chance of qualifying," praised coach Marquinho.
