Flamengo crushes Minas Gerais and secures leadership in the NBB

Returning to play at Tijuca Tênis Clube, Flamengo faced Minas on Wednesday night (29). Unaware of their opponent, Mais Querido ran over them and secured a 108-74 victory.

During the first quarter, Flamengo struggled with Minas' strong start, closing the first 10 minutes with a 24-17 lead. However, things were evenly balanced when Flamengo capitalized on their attacks and solidified their defense, opening up a 52-31 lead before halftime.

The third quarter only widened the gap, reaching 20 points in the first five minutes, closing the quarter with a score of 82 to 51. With a good lead, the Pride of the Nation still converted several three-pointers, totaling 18 in total, and won the match 108 to 74.

With this result, FlaBasquete secures first place overall in the NBB CAIXA standings with one round remaining. Furthermore, the Pride of the Nation will decide the playoff matches at home.

The highlights of the match were Marquinhos, who scored 20 points, Marcelinho, with 19 points and 6 assists, Lelê, with 16 points, Fischer, completing 7 assists, and Olivinha, consolidating himself as king of the paint with 8 rebounds.
