FlaBasquete won another match. After a patchy run, the team returned to the NBB and, after beating Mogi on Friday away from home, also defeated Minas Tênis Clube this Sunday in Tijuca.

In a closely contested match, the Pride of the Nation outplayed their opponent in the details. Accurate on the rebounds and decisive in crucial moments, Flamengo controlled the match and, despite moments of extreme balance, never saw their victory threatened.

With 22x17 in the first quarter, 15x17 in the second, 23x21 in the third and 16x10 in the fourth, José Neto's team closed the game 76x65. Marcelinho with 14 points was the team's top scorer, which also had Marquinhos with three assists and Meyinsse with 11 rebounds as highlights.

"We're doing well in the championship, we're playing well. Now it's time to fix the mistakes and grow, but the team is focused. We know the potential the team has and we're moving forward," said Marcelinho.

Flamengo's final challenge in the qualifying phase will be against Macaé, on Tuesday, away from home.

The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo adult basketball team relies on direct funding from its sponsors – SKY and Estácio – in addition to investments from Tim via the State Sports Incentive Law/State Secretariat for Sports, Leisure and Youth (ICMS).
