More than two thousand people attended Tijuca Tênis Clube to see the first team to win ten consecutive NBB championships. With a score of 98 to 81, Flamengo maintained its lead and surpassed its own record set in the last round. For coach José Neto, the connection with the fans was important in addition to the milestone:
 
"The team played consistently despite some flaws. We were solid and even when we had bad moments, we managed to turn things around. The reciprocity with the fans was very important. Both sides collaborated to make the game even better," he said.

Playing against his former team, Vitor Benite showed his ability by becoming the game's top scorer with 23 points. Marquinhos (20 points) and Caio Torres (16) were just behind his teammate.

"We're staying focused without relaxing. The winning streak is good for us and the competition. I was lucky to be at the right time and in the right places to convert the points and bring the victory," said the shooting guard.

The red-and-black team returns to the court on Monday against São José/Unimed/Vinac, at the Tijuca Tennis Club. Could another record be on the horizon?
