After two friendlies in Vila Velha (ES), Flamengo returns to the court this Wednesday (October 06.10) for the State Basketball Championship. The team faces Cabo Frio, at 19 pm, in Cabo Frio, in the fourth round of the competition. So far, there have been three victories for the Rubro-negro.

"Cabo Frio is a team we don't know. But what matters is that Flamengo is growing and we will continue testing the team," said coach Paulo Chupeta.

Last weekend (1st and 2nd October), Flamengo beat Vila Velha/CETAF (90 x 70 and 87 x 85) in two friendlies in Vila Velha (ES). The coach was pleased with the team's performance.

"In the second game, we were behind for almost the entire match, but we showed concentration and managed to turn it around in the end," said Chupeta.

Flamengo has a new friendly scheduled. The team will face Uniceub/BRB/Brasília on the 17th at 11 a.m. at the Asceb gymnasium in Brasília. The match will be a rematch of the finals from the last three NBB seasons and will serve as preparation for the Rubro-negro's upcoming challenges, such as the South American League and the 2010/2011 NBB.

"The most important thing about these matches is to get the players back into rhythm. It will be good preparation for the upcoming challenges," Chupeta concluded.
