Flamengo can secure, this Friday (04.05), the spot in the NBB semifinals. Leading the best-of-five series of the quarterfinals by 2 x 0, the Rubro-negro hosts Uberlândia, at 19 pm, at the Tijuca Tênis Clube gymnasium (RJ), for the third game. Sportv broadcasts live.

In the first match (28.04), played in Uberlândia, Flamengo won 110 x 108, after two extensions. Last Tuesday (01.05), another victory for the Rio team, this time in Tijuca, by 70 x 63. If necessary, the fourth game will be played on 08.05, in Uberlândia, and the fifth, on 11.05, in Rio.

The order at Flamengo is to forget the advantage the team opened:

"A team that leads 2-0 in the series has a natural tendency to relax in the third game. And that's something we can't let happen. Especially because we know that Uberlândia has a strong team and has played some very tough games so far," said captain Marcelinho.

For coach Gonzalo Garcia, the team's attacking performance has made a difference in the last two games. However, he reminds us that the team can't afford to relax defensively.

"I think we've matured a lot when it comes to selecting our shots, and that helped a lot in the first two matches. But what I always say is that the key to reaching the final will be a strong defense," explained the Argentine coach.
