The 2012/2013 New Basketball Brazil season set another record today. With twelve games unbeaten, Flamengo comfortably defeated Suzano 105-74 this Thursday (January 17.01) at their opponent's home ground. Never in the history of the competition has a team achieved such a positive start. And how does this team maintain its momentum in every game?

"Despite the points difference, we have to respect our opponent, and the best way to do that is to give our best until the last second," explains coach José Neto. For him, the next game will also be difficult. "Palmeiras has earned this spot and will come in strong. We have to be focused, because this is a dangerous team."

Marquinhos led the way in scoring with 30 points. He scored the 100th point for the red-and-black team on a free throw.

Throughout, Flamengo maintained a resilient advantage. Their composure allowed Neto to dial in the more experienced players and bring on the younger players late in the match, like Diego, Douglas, and Gegê. Despite this, standouts like Benite and Olivinha stood out in the match.

Still away from home, Flamengo faces Palmeiras, looking for their 13th consecutive victory.
