Flamengo confirms fourth place in the NBB qualifying phase
Rubro-Negro's opponent will be announced after the round of 16

With the NBB4 qualifying round concluded on Tuesday night (April 10), Flamengo confirmed its fourth-place finish. Automatically qualified for the quarterfinals, starting on April 28, Flamengo now awaits the definition of its opponent (fifth place). The rival will be determined after the round of 16, starting on Friday (April 13), between the teams classified from fifth to 12th place.
With 21 wins in 28 matches, Flamengo finished the first phase with the same record as Pinheiros, in second place, and Brasília, in third. The lead went to São José (23 wins in 28 matches). In the case of a three-way tie for second place, the first tiebreaker is the number of head-to-head victories between the three teams. In four matches against Pinheiros and Brasília (two against each other – first and second leg), Flamengo achieved one victory (against Brasília, at home). Brasília, on the other hand, achieved two victories (Flamengo and Pinheiros, at home). Pinheiros, in turn, achieved three victories (two against the Rubro-Negro and one against Pinheiros, at home).
The quarterfinal playoffs will be played as a best-of-five series. As a top-four finisher, Flamengo will have the advantage of playing three home games (if necessary).
