One day after winning its eighth consecutive State Basketball Championship title, Flamengo learned its opponents and the venue for the second phase of the South American League. The red-and-black team is in Group E, alongside Venezuela's Tiburones and Brazil's Pinheiros and Brasília. The competition will take place from November 27th to 29th in Brasília. The two top-ranked teams will advance to the final.

Flamengo debuts on the 27th, against Tiburones, at 20 pm. Then, they face Pinheiros, on the 28th, at 20 pm, and conclude their participation against Brasília, on the 29th, at 22:10 pm.

"In this competition system, every game is important, seen as a decisive match," said coach José Neto, who analyzed the opponents: "Our three opponents demonstrated their competence in the first phase to continue in this high-level competition. Brasília is the current Brazilian champion and also has the advantage of hosting the tournament; Pinheiros played in the final of the last South American League and played very well in the first phase; and Tiburones has several players from the Venezuelan national team and has been having a good championship in their country. However, we are working with the goal of qualifying for the League final," he added.

Flamengo's debut in the NBB is scheduled for November 24.11th, against Cetaf/Vila Velha, at the opponent's home.
