The youth basketball teams of the red-and-black team continued their campaigns in the State Championship. The young athletes are aiming for the Rio de Janeiro title and had positive results throughout the week.
In three classic matches against Fluminense, the "Mais Querido" (the "Most Beloved") won two and lost one. In the under-13 category, their strong performance was reflected in a 55-49 victory. In the under-17 category, they had a stellar performance. With a 20-point margin in the final score, the red-and-black team secured a 66-46 victory. However, in a match fought to the last second, the under-15 team was defeated 56-58.
This Wednesday (17), the under-14 and under-19 teams will enter the court for the next challenge in their respective categories against Tijuca Tênis Clube. Meanwhile, on Saturday (20) on the Gávea court, the under-13, under-15 and under-17 teams will face Botafogo.

The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the club.
