Flamengo's youth teams won another medal last weekend. Competing in the Brazilian Under-18 Club Cup, the team was defeated by Tijuca Tênis Clube in the final by a score of 59-41.
The Rubro-Negro team had a consistent and exemplary campaign in the tournament. In the first phase, they achieved a 100% success rate with victories over Minas (57-49), Sociedade Thalia (70-54), and Botafogo (81-68).
In the semifinal stage, the classic match between Flamengo and Fluminense decided the spot in the grand final. In a balanced game, FlaBasquete advanced in the competition, winning by a score of 69-60.
Now, the Flamengo team turns its attention to the Carioca Sub-17 semi-final, which takes place on November 28th and December 1st, against Vasco da Gama.
