A week after winning the Minas-Brasília Basketball Cup, Flamengo's under-17 team won another title. The team won the Italva National Tournament, again undefeated. In the final on Saturday night (July 28.07), the team defeated Cetaf-Vila Velha 69-63.

The competition's top scorer with 154 points, the red-and-black Junio ​​Duval was named the tournament's best player.

Flamengo will now compete in the 1st Rio-São Paulo International Circuit on August 1st and 2nd at the Hélio Maurício gymnasium in Gávea. The competition will also feature Fluminense, Botafogo, and the team from North Carolina (USA).
