Flamengo wins three victories in the State Basketball Championship

Flamengo finished another round with a 100% record in the youth teams. Playing in the U-13, U-15, and U-19 categories, the team won all three matches it played, against Jequiá and ABIG. 



Their first victory came in the U-13 competition. Facing ABIG, the Meninos da Gávea won 71-22. Led by coach Nelson Mourão, the red-and-black team performed exceptionally well. Daniel Semenovitch (17 points) and Eduardo Kozlowski (15 points) were Flamengo's standout performers. 

In the U-15 division, another great result. Once again against ABIG, the Mais Querido maintained their unbeaten streak with a significant result. In a great team performance, the score was 96-27, their sixth consecutive victory. 

Rounding out the weekend's matches, the U-19 team didn't disappoint. Facing Jequiá, the team won 113-12. Thiago Batista, known as Sorriso, was the top scorer and a standout for the red-and-black team with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Magno also had a strong performance, scoring nine points and having five rebounds. With this impressive result, coach Fernando Pereira's team secured its fifth consecutive victory, maintaining its unbeaten streak and remaining top of the state championship. 

The basketball teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – thinkseg, Estácio, AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR) and the State Incentive Law/State Secretariat of Sports, Leisure and Youth (Seelje) of Rio de Janeiro, in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
