Rubro-negro is defeated by Pinheiros, away from home, and now thinks about the South American League

In a thrilling match, evenly matched until the final seconds, Flamengo let the victory slip away to Pinheiros, 91-88, this Saturday (January 28.01th), in the second round of the NBB4 return leg. With the result, Flamengo now has 12 wins in 16 matches and awaits the end of the round to know its position in the overall standings. Marcelinho, with 22 points, and Caio Torres and David Jackson, with 17 each, were Flamengo's standouts. Pinheiros' Shamell, who scored the last basket of the game, was the top scorer with 29 points.
"It was a very balanced game and we managed to hold off Shamell and Marquinho for a long time, but they played very well today and ended up winning with the last ball," analyzed Marcelinho.
Flamengo travels to Argentina next Monday (January 30.01) to play the final hexagonal of the South American League, in Buenos Aires. The debut will be on February 01.02, again against Pinheiros, at 20:30 pm (Brasília time). The Rubro-negro is in Group A of the competition, which also includes Atenas de Córdoba (ARG). In Group B are Brasília, Malvin (EQU) and Obras Sanitárias (ARG). Flamengo is looking for its second championship of the competition.
"We have to remember that it's a different competition, so we have to forget about today's game and work to correct the mistakes we made," said the team captain.
