Flabasquete achieved another overwhelming victory. The Rubro-Negro took to the court this Saturday (28.02) in the Liga das Américas and defeated Trotamundos/VEN, in Mar del Plata, by 105 to 70, reaching its second consecutive victory. The team returns to the court this Sunday (01.03), to face Peñarol/ARG, in the 3rd round of the semifinal stage of the Liga das Américas. The game takes place at 20 pm, Brasília time, and is broadcast on SporTV.

With Peñarol/ARG's victory over Halcones Rojos/MEX, Flamengo secured its qualification for the Final Four, the final phase of the Liga das Américas, with one round to spare.

The match began in Mar del Plata. Flamengo and Trotamundos played evenly, with the lead constantly changing hands. Flabasquete only managed to pull away late in the quarter, with a beautiful dunk by Felício and a basket by Hermann. FlaBasquete finished the half with a 29-27 lead.

In the second quarter, Olivinha continued playing with his characteristic grit and, alongside a 3-pointer inspired by Laprovittola, helped Flamengo take off. Felício, playing solid defensively, was also a vital part of the surge. By halftime, Flamengo was already leading 47-33.

The third period didn't change the game. Despite Cubillan's 3-pointers, Trotamundos remained far behind Flamengo on the scoreboard. Benite, who came on midway through the second quarter, lived up to his impressive form. At the end of the quarter, the score was 80-53 for Flamengo.

In the final period, Flamengo didn't let its advantage slip away. Relying on the efficiency of Marquinhos and Nico, they controlled the score. José Neto decided to give experience to youngsters Danielzinho, Chupeta, and Mingau and used them in the match. Final score: 105-70 for Flamengo.
