Flamengo reduces its deficit from 25 to 5 points and advances to the Final Four
The red-black team has a bad night, but reacts in the final moments and faces Bauru on March 11th

Another night of strong emotions for the red-black basketball fan, after the thrilling victory on Saturday (27). This Sunday (28), in a match that seemed unbelievable, Flamengo did not perform well and ended up losing by 25 points. But the Most Beloved managed to show its power of reaction, did not give up on the comeback at any point and reduced the disadvantage to just five.
At the final tick of the clock, the scoreboard showed FlaBasquete losing 92-87, but the result was enough for the team to qualify for the Liga das Américas Final Four in first place. This will be the Rubro-Negro's third consecutive appearance at this stage of the competition, a first for the tournament.
JP Batista and Rafa Luz, who returned to the court after a nasty fall, made the difference in the incredible comeback. The center led the team with 22 points, and the point guard collected six assists and 14 points. Marquinhos (13) and Marcelinho (12) also reached double figures in scoring.
Now, José Neto's men face Bauru in a repeat of last season's Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) final, in which Flamengo won the national tournament for the third consecutive time. This time, on March 11th, the teams will duel for a spot in the Liga das Américas final.
