In search of harmony and game rhythm, Flamengo will play another friendly match this Thursday (13.10). The team faces Uberlândia at 18 pm at the Hélio Maurício gymnasium in Gávea. Entry is free.
Flamengo will be able to count on the four reinforcements signed for the season: Leandrinho, Kammerichs, Caio Torres, and David Jackson. The friendly will also serve as preparation for Flamengo's two main challenges: the South American League and the NBB (New Basketball Brazil), both in November.
"The team has great players, we need to become a great team," summarized Argentinian Kammerichs, bronze medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
For coach Gonzalo Garcia, in addition to teamwork, Flamengo needs to improve some defensive aspects.
"Friendlies are good for observing what needs to be improved within the team. In the game against Brasília (last Sunday, October 09.10th), Flamengo alternated between highs and lows, with some defensive errors. We'll try to correct that," he stated.
