Flamengo plays two friendlies in São Paulo
Games against Suzano, on the 22nd and 23rd, will be preparatory for the NBB quarterfinals

While awaiting the definition of its opponent in the NBB quarterfinals, Flamengo continues its preparations for its debut in the playoffs, scheduled for April 28.04th. In addition to training in two periods, in Gávea, the team will play two friendlies, on April 22nd and 23.04rd, against Suzano, in Suzano (SP).
The friendlies will also mark Marcelinho's return to the court. The player suffered a fractured middle finger on his left hand in the match against Uberlândia on March 17.03th and missed the team's final four matches in the first phase.
"These friendlies will be very important, as there's a long gap between the last qualifying game and the first playoff game. So, it'll be good to get the team back into rhythm and practice new moves. It'll also be good for Marcelinho to get in shape, as he's been out for almost a month," said coach Gonzalo Garcia.
The team will discover its next opponent after the round of 16, between the teams ranked fifth through 12th. Finishing fourth in the qualifying round, Flamengo advanced directly to the quarterfinals and secured home-court advantage in the best-of-five tournament.
"I think we had a tournament of ups and downs. Until the first half of January, the team was at a high level, then we went through periods of inconsistency. The idea is to reach the highest level again in the playoffs," analyzed Gonzalo.
