In the last activity before the trip, winger Marquinhos analyzed the opponent and mentioned the week of training:

"Brasília is coming off a big win over Botafogo, so it's going to be a very tough game. Besides, it's a derby. Their team has experienced players who want to do better than last year, and we need to be alert. I hope we can put into practice everything we've been training for this week."

Confrontation retrospective

Last season, the teams faced each other twice. In the capital, Orgulho da Nação won 94-69, with 21 points from Olivinha and 16 from Marquinhos. In Rio, it was also Mengão's victory: 97-54. Once again, the power forward shone (20 points).
