Flamengo won the Minas Brasília Under-17 Basketball Cup in Brasília. In the final last Saturday (July 21.07), the team defeated Minas Tênis 55-46, becoming undefeated champions. In total, they played nine matches and won nine undisputed victories.

Five teams competed in the tournament. In addition to finalists Flamengo and Minas Gerais, Fluminense, Sport Recife, and Lance Livre (Brasília) also competed for the title. The team from Gávea secured its spot in the final with two rounds to spare. 

"Flamengo proved to be a strong team, managing to maintain its level despite all the substitutions. That was what set us apart. Furthermore, we are a very united team, players and coaching staff, all with the same goal," said coach Leonardo Bruno.
