Teams duel for the first time in history for NBB 11

Saturday (3) is the day of the national classic at Arena Carioca 1. For the first time in the history of Novo Basquete Brasil, Flamengo and Corinthians face each other in the country's main competition. The ball goes up at 14 pm for the match, which will be the Mais Querido's sixth in the tournament.

Flamengo is coming off a loss in the last round. For the first time this season, the team from Gávea was outclassed and ended up losing first place in the standings. Against Pinheiros, Flamengo tried hard, but suffered a 74-61 defeat at the Arena.

One of the top scorers in the match against Pinheiros, Rafael Mineiro, spoke about his expectations for hosting the São Paulo club at home. "The match against Corinthians will certainly be difficult. They're coming off positive results in the competition, but we know we can't be shaken by Thursday's loss and that we have the ability to win this match at home. We're counting on the support of the nation and their strength, which is always important," he stated.
