Flamengo is beaten by AlAhly (LIB) and finishes the Intercontinental in fourth place
Mais Querido fought until the end, but the African champions won 91-82 at the end of the competition

Flamengo ended its participation in the 2025 Intercontinental Cup with great effort, but without the bronze medal. On Sunday morning (21), Rubro-Negro was beaten by AlAhly, from Libya, by 91 to 82, and ended its campaign in fourth place in the tournament that brought together the continental champions of world basketball.
1st Bedroom
The game began with Flamengo setting the pace and showing precision with long-range shots. Shaq Johnson and Gui Deodato showed up early, calibrating their hands on the perimeter and putting the Red-Blacks ahead. However, in the final stretch of the first quarter, the Africans fought back and, with a last-second three-pointer, managed to turn the score around to close the quarter at 26-22.
2st Bedroom
In the second quarter, Flamengo came out firing on all cylinders and quickly erased their opponent's lead. The red-and-black defense stepped up its game, forcing hasty shots from the African team, while the attack capitalized on its opportunities. With this consistency on both ends of the court, Flamengo went into halftime leading 44-39.
3st Bedroom
The third quarter began much the same way as the previous one: intense. In the first two attacks, Alexey converted a basket, and Gui Deodato, with an and-one play, extended the Flamengo lead to nine points. But Al Ahly fought back, gradually closing the gap and getting back on the scoreboard. The quarter ended evenly, with Flamengo ahead 65-64.
4st Bedroom
In the final period, the Africans were more consistent. AlAhly came back more aggressive, opening a five-point lead, and forcing coach Sergio Hernández to stop the game. Flamengo then responded with two consecutive three-pointers from Markeith Cummings and Alexey, regaining the lead. But in the final stretch, the Libyan team prevailed, closing the match 91-82, securing the bronze medal.
Even without the medal, Flamengo returns to Brazil focused on upcoming commitments, such as the NBB Opening Tournament, next week.
