In a balanced game from start to finish, Flamengo and Brasília staged a great duel in the opening of the elimination series. In the first quarter, the teams were neck and neck, with neither team managing to gain an advantage, until Brasília closed the period with a three-point lead on the last play. The second period followed the same script: a close game, with the home team managing to extend the difference only in the final minute. The contest remained close until the last quarter, when Brasília managed to open up a 12-point lead. Flamengo reacted, closed the gap, and had a chance to tie in the final seconds, but couldn't manage it. Victory for the home team in the federal capital.
