Flamengo was defeated by Corinthians 90-73 on Tuesday night (13), at Tijuca Tênis Clube, and saw the São Paulo team tie the best-of-five series of the NBB quarterfinals at 1-1. Now, Rubro-Negro is preparing for the third game of the series, Thursday (15), at 18:30 pm, at the same stage. With the result, the series will extend at least until the fourth game, on Sunday (18), in São Paulo. If the tie persists, the fifth and decisive game returns to Rio de Janeiro.
The match started evenly, with Flamengo showcasing its attacking potential. Corinthians surged in the second quarter and opened up a lead. After the break, the "Mais Querido" (the most beloved team) had its worst quarter, struggling on both sides of the court. In the final period, the team found more options, but it was too late. A victory for the São Paulo team.
