Flamengo suffered its second defeat in the NBB 25/26. This Wednesday (3), the red-black team was defeated by Pinheiros 83-67 away from home after a game with low offensive efficiency. Still, it remains tied for the lead.
The record of 11 wins and two losses means 23 points for FlaBasquete, which is tied for the lead with Minas.
1st Bedroom
Flamengo and Pinheiros played a very balanced first quarter. Flamengo was more accurate in its plays, resulting in a higher shooting percentage, but the São Paulo team compensated with volume by attacking quickly. Thus, both teams made 7 field goal attempts and five free throws, and finished tied at 22-22.
2st Bedroom
In the second period, however, FlaBasquete experienced a sharp drop in efficiency. Combined with fewer free-throw opportunities and a defense that continued to concede space, the Rubro-Negro saw their rival open up a lead before halftime. Pinheiros led 44-38 at the end of the second quarter.
3st Bedroom
The poor offensive production continued to be a problem for Flamengo after the break. The third quarter was again marked by poor efficiency, resulting in only 15 points, while the defense continued to allow more than 20 points to the São Paulo team. Thus, the final quarter began with Pinheiros leading 65-53.
4st Bedroom
Flamengo threatened a comeback at the start of the final period, but again made many mistakes and fell behind in the final score of the quarter. The 83-67 loss is only the team's second in the competition.
