With this result, the team now has 15 wins in 20 matches and occupies third place in the overall standings, behind Pinheiros, who remains in the lead, and São José, the runner-up. The Rubro-negro's next challenge will be on March 03.03rd, against Vila Velha, in Vila Velha.
After trailing by five early in the game, Flamengo tied the game at 5-5 and dominated the entire first quarter, which ended 20-14 for the team from Gávea. In the second, however, São José took advantage of a glitch in the Rio de Janeiro team and prevailed, finishing 29-36.
After the break, Flamengo continued to have defensive problems and allowed São José to open up a 20-point lead: 35 x 55. The Rubro-negro reduced the deficit after a three-pointer by Marcelinho, who was also fouled and converted another free throw: 42 x 55. Even so, they finished the quarter behind: 50 x 70. In the last quarter, Flamengo improved, but was unable to take the lead: 79 x 85.
The game's top scorer was Marcelinho, with 27 points.

Flamengo started with: Hélio (11), David Jackson (4), Marcelinho (27), Kammerichs (6) and Caio Torres (4). Entered: Átila (3), Fred (8), Chris Hayes (9), Guto (-), Duda (3) and Wagner (4).
