The two finalists of the first edition of the NBB, Flamengo and Universo/BRB/Financeira Brasília, will face each other again this Sunday at 10 a.m. at the HSBC Arena in a match valid for the fourteenth round of the competition. The match will be broadcast live on Sportv. The NBB is a championship organized by the National Basketball League (LNB), in partnership with Rede Globo and sponsored by Eletrobrás and Spalding.

In the history of the NBB, the teams have faced each other seven times, twice in the qualifying round and five times in the grand final. Besides being the first champion, Flamengo holds the advantage of four wins over Universo's three.

History is important, but not crucial for this round's matchup. In the 2009/2010 season, the Brasília team had a better record than Flamengo. They lead the NBB with 11 wins in 12 games. Flamengo's record is worse than last year's, but it sits just behind the leader, in second place in the standings, with eight wins and three losses. Furthermore, Flamengo is riding high after winning its last four games.

"We have to be patient in attack and know how to make the right decisions at the right time. The game will be decided by the details, and we have to be consistent throughout the four quarters. There's no point in winning one and playing poorly in the other and letting the victory slip away," said coach Paulo Chupeta.
