Flamengo scores third victory in three NBB games with 86 to 73 over Caxias do Sul

FlaBasquete will return to Rio de Janeiro with three wins in three games under their belt! After triumphs over São Paulo and União Corinthians, the Pride of the Nation achieved another positive result in the New Basketball Brazil (NBB), on Friday night (29), over Caxias do Sul: 86 to 73.

The game
The match started very evenly, with Caxias leading the scoreboard in the first quarter (23-22), but in the second period, Rubro-Negro adjusted its game, improved its defense and managed to hold off the opponent's physical play (8-25). After halftime, Rubro-Negro lost the third quarter (27-17), but remained ahead with the advantage built in the second quarter. In the final minutes, two consecutive baskets by captain Olivinha stopped Caxias' momentum and left the victory well on the way for Mais Querido, who closed the period comfortably (15-22).

The red-and-black team will meet the nation again next week, in the first home games of this edition of the NBB, both at Maracanãzinho. Wednesday (3), at 20 pm, coach Gustavo De Conti's team will face Pato Basquete; on Friday (5), the opponent will be Mogi, at 19 pm.
