Flamengo faces Minas away from home in the NBB

At the Arena Minas Tênis Clube, the Mais Querido faces Minas, at 17 pm, this Saturday (15). The match is the last before the end of the year, as the teams turn their attention to the Super 8 next.
Flamengo is coming off a victory in the NBB, having defeated Botafogo last week, winning 102-73 in a sensational match by Marquinhos at Tijuca Tênis Clube. Flamengo currently sits in third place in the standings with nine wins and three losses in 12 games.

The teams have faced each other 23 times in matches valid for the Novo Basquete Brasil competition. Overall, the Mais Querido team has 20 wins, while Minas has only three.
The last clash was in this year's South American League, when the clubs met in the semifinals. At Jeunesse Arena, Flamengo defeated the Minas Gerais team 91-76.

In the final training session in Rio de Janeiro before departing for Minas Gerais, power forward Olivinha spoke about the challenge away from home. "We're expecting a dangerous game. Although they're fighting for sixth and seventh place, they're giving everyone in Minas Gerais a hard time. We're expecting a very tough match. We've been training very well this week, we're very confident, and Gustavinho has done a good job these past few days. We hope to put up a great fight and end this year in the NBB with a flourish," he stated.
