Flamengo faces Botafogo this Monday (25) for NBB 12

By Romulo Paranhos - inClube de Regatas do Flamengo measures its strength against the Botafogo team in a match valid for the 9th round of Novo Basquete Brasil 12. The Rio de Janeiro classic will be held this Monday (25), at 20 pm, at Arena Carioca 2, in the Barra da Tijuca Olympic Park.
A key player for the red-black team, winger Marquinhos commented on the Rio derby against the team from General Severiano:
"Flamengo and Botafogo is always a very tough derby, as both teams bring their football rivalry onto the court. They are two of Rio's most traditional teams, and it's always a very physical game that demands the best of us," said the Flamengo star.
Confrontation retrospective
In the history of Novo Basquete Brasil, Flamengo and Botafogo have faced each other eight times, with Flamengo winning seven and losing only once. In the last meeting between the two teams, Flamengo defeated Botafogo 90-75, winning the NBB11 Playoffs semifinal series 3-1.
