After finishing fourth in the NBA G League International Challenge, Flamengo has trained hard in recent days and is prepared for the first game of the best-of-three series in the Carioca Championship final. Having had the best record in the qualifying phase, the Pride of the Nation will host Tuesday's game against Botafogo at 20 pm at the Tijuca Tennis Club gymnasium. Tickets are on sale on the website Web Counter.
The match will be a rematch of the 2018 final. On that occasion, Flamengo won both games (88-69 and 83-73) and became thirteen consecutive champions. In this edition, two matches have taken place, with one victory for each side. It is worth remembering that the teams also faced each other in the NBB 11 semifinals.
Power forward Olivinha called on the fans to come and support the team:
"I'm counting on the Nation's presence and I want to see Tijuca stadium packed. We need this support to seek victory and take a step towards the title."
