Flamengo faces São José with a playoff spirit
With two games remaining until the end of the second half, Rubro-negro seeks isolated leadership

There are still two games left until the end of the NBB (New Basketball Brazil) qualifying phase, but Flamengo is facing the matches against São José, this Friday (01.04), and Limeira, on Sunday (03.04), as decisions. This is because the team needs two victories to finish the second round in at least second place, without depending on other results.
In second place in the competition, with 19 wins in 26 games – the same campaign as the leader Pinheiros, but losing in the head-to-head –, Flamengo can still finish in sole leadership, but, to do so, it has to overcome its challenges and hope for a stumble from the São Paulo team (which faces Araraquara and Franca, both away from home).
This Thursday (31.03), the team headed to São José dos Campos for the first challenge, against São José, this Friday (01.04), at 20 pm, at the Lineu de Moura Gymnasium.
"We're going to take to the court with a playoff spirit. These games are crucial for us to finish in the top spots and secure an advantage in the next phase," said forward Teichmann.
São José is eighth in the overall standings, with 14 wins in 26 games, and will have the return of center Murilo, who had been sidelined for nearly two months due to a pubic injury. Flamengo, meanwhile, will be without center Bábby, who suffered a dislocated left shoulder in the match against Uberlândia on March 25.03th and is expected to be out for about 20 days.
"São José has an experienced team and it will be a difficult match. We have to improve in some aspects compared to the last few games, such as defense, and try to minimize the bad moments we have in the matches," said Teichmann, who has been one of Flamengo's standout players in the competition.
