Flamengo concluded its participation in the Brazilian Under-21 Basketball Club Cup. Continuing its youth development efforts, the team entered with a young squad led by coach Fernando Pereira. At the end of the week of competition, they finished seventh in one of the most balanced tournaments in the country. 

In the qualifying round, they won two of their three games, against Paysandu (PA) and AEGB Basquete (GO). In the quarterfinals, they lost to runner-up União Corinthians and then Botafogo, preventing them from remaining in the top four. Rounding off their performance in the tournament was the seventh-place playoff against Praia Clube (MG), which ended in a victory for the red-and-blacks.

The final result of the tournament was three wins and three losses, which gives Mais Querido even more strength to resume work in the U-19 State Championship, where the team remains undefeated.
