Flamengo ends the qualifying phase of the Under-22 State Championship in the lead
Rubro-Negro beat Fluminense this Tuesday, in Gávea, and remained undefeated in the competition
By Helena Petry - inCrias Da Gávea remain dominant in the Under-22 State Championship. This Tuesday (24), with a victory over Fluminense at home, FlaBasquete ended the classification phase of the championship in first place, undefeated.
At the Hélio Maurício gymnasium in Gávea, Flamengo defeated Tricolor 76-58. The first quarter, the most even, ended 20-19 for Flamengo. The second quarter saw a 16-13 lead, and the third, an 18-16 lead for the home team. The final quarter ended with the biggest margin: 22-10. Ruan led all scorers with 14 points, followed by Matheusinho and Lucas, both with 12.
With the lead, Mais Querido secured a spot in the semifinals and awaits its opponent in the next round. Now, attention turns to the second stage of the LDB qualifying round, from August 30th to September 4th, in Gávea.
