Flamengo ends the second stage of the LDB with a victory over Basquete Cearense

The red-and-black team says goodbye to the national competition and turns its attention to the Under-22 State Championship

Flamengo's U-22 team ended its participation in the Basketball Development League (LDB) on Saturday night (4). Rubro-Negro beat Basquete Cearense 100-24 in the last round of the second stage of the tournament. With the defeat to Minas last Friday (3), the Crias da Gávea did not secure a place in the final stage of the championship.

Top scorer Maciel, with 28 points and 20 rebounds, and Rafael Rachel, with 22 points and 11 rebounds, achieved a double-double and were the team's biggest highlights in the duel at the Hélio Maurício gym, which hosted the group B games in the stage.

Next appointment
Last week, Flamengo defeated Fluminense 76-58 at home, finishing the qualifying round of the U-22 State Championship in first place, undefeated. With the lead, the Mais Querido secured a spot in the semifinals and now awaits their opponent in the next round.
