Flabasquete concluded its participation in the NBA preseason friendlies this Friday (17.10). Against the Memphis Grizzlies, Rubro-Negro, despite being ahead at times on the scoreboard, was unable to come out victorious.

Orgulho da Nação, the first Brazilian team to take part in the NBA preseason, returns to Brazil, where it continues to compete in the State Championship, preparing for the start of the 2014/2015 NBB season.

The game

Right at the start, Flamengo opened up a 10-2 lead, but Memphis tied the game, came back and closed the first quarter at 27-20. 

With a great performance by Olivinha, especially in the use of three-point shots, and Gegê, Mais Querido got closer on the scoreboard again, but with good steals from Flamengo's mistakes, the American team closed the first half at 62 to 41.

In the second half, Memphis came back determined to secure the victory, and they did. Despite the red-and-black squad fighting back, and at times narrowing the lead with traditional three-pointers, Tennessee closed the game 112-72.
