Flamengo returns to the courts in the NBB for the last match of 2019! The Most Beloved faces Corinthians, at the opponent's home, this Saturday (28), at 12:50 pm, with broadcast on Band. With the leadership of the first round guaranteed, Rubro-Negro is already starting its preparation for the Super 8, which begins in the first week of January 2020.

"We'll defend our championship lead, and right after that, in the first week of January, we have the Super 8, so this game will also serve as preparation. Besides the victory being important for the rest of the NBB, it serves as preparation because we won't stop at the end of the year. We'll train nonstop because of the importance we place on the Super 8," explains coach Gustavo De Conti.

With 12 wins and two losses in the Novo Basquete Brasil 12 campaign, the coach will also have the recently signed Gustavo "Panchi" Barrera on the roster, a point guard for the Uruguayan national team, who reinforces FlaBasquete in the national competition and the Champions League.

Power forward making his debut in the 2019/2020 season for Mais Querido, Gávea's number 71, Léo Demétrio also spoke about the duel against Corinthians.

"It's a very important game, they're coming off a South American final, they have a great squad, and it's going to be a very difficult game because it's at their home ground, but our goal is to get there, play a great game and come away with another victory, which will be very important for our continuation in the championship."
