Flamengo faces Macaé away from home in the NBB

The next challenge will be against Aguada, on March 21st, at Maracanãzinho, for the League of the Americas

On Saturday night (15.03), Flamengo lost to Macaé by 103 to 95, at the Juquinha gym. The match was valid for the 32nd round of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). Fla's highlights in the match were Marcelinho, with 25 points, surpassing the four thousand mark in the NBB, Laprovittola, with six assists and Meyinsse with nine rebounds.
 
The first half began with Macaé dominating. The final score of the first quarter already indicated a significant lead for the opponent over Flamengo, which remained until the end of the second quarter. Very well-timed on three-pointers, Macaé went into halftime with a 56-36 lead.
 
In the third quarter, Flamengo came out on top and significantly closed the gap. With Marcelinho reaching 15 points, the team closed the period with a large lead (25-13) and went into the final quarter just eight points behind: 69 to 61. In the fourth quarter, Flamengo fought hard and ended up just five points behind, but Macaé's early lead made the difference and the opponent won the game 103 to 95.

The team's focus is now on the Liga das Américas. The semifinal against Aguada (URU) will be on March 21st at Maracanãzinho.
