Flamengo faces Macaé, this Wednesday, in the State Championship
With registration regularized, pivot Átila can debut with the red-black shirt

Flamengo travels to Macaé this Wednesday (29.09) for the third round of the State Basketball Championship. The red-black team faces the home team at 19 pm at the Macaé Municipal Gymnasium. In the first two matches, Flamengo "strolled" on the court against Iguaçu (142 x 52) and Riachuelo (114 x 56), respectively.
For the game against Macaé, coach Paulo Chupeta hopes to face a more organized opponent than the first two.
"Macaé is a more experienced team, it should be a match with a little more difficulty," assessed the red-black coach.
Flamengo is using the State Championship as preparation for the season's other competitions: the South American League and the National Brazilian Championship. Chupeta is taking advantage of the opportunity to test different formations with the team and get the players up to speed.
"We are testing all the formations I can have, and the games are also being good for improving the defense," said the coach.
For the match, Flamengo will already be able to count on center Átila, the club's latest signing, who has had his registration regularized. American point guard Kyle Lamonte, who is recovering from a sprained right ankle, will be evaluated later on Tuesday night (28.09).
