Coach Gustavo De Conti commented on the importance of taking responsibility when defending the Sacred Mantle in international competitions: 

"Flamengo is the team with the largest fan base in Brazil, and one of the largest in the world. No matter what stadium we play on, there are always Flamengo fans to support us. The fans have a huge love for this club. Because of this, our responsibility is immense. We have an obligation to represent and honor this important and representative jersey. Our nation always deserves the best," says the coach.

Confrontation retrospective

Flamengo takes to the court this Friday (13) against Valdivia (CHI) for another Group C match of the Basketball Champions League Americas. If they win, Rubro-Negro will achieve their third victory in the competition, and the second over their opponent. The last meeting between the teams took place in Brazil, on November 29, with FlaBasquete winning 82-71.
