As part of its preparation for the NBB quarterfinals, Flamengo will play two friendlies against Suzano in Suzano, São Paulo. The first will be this Sunday (April 22.04nd) at 18 p.m. The two teams will face off again the following day at 20 p.m. Flamengo will have the return of captain Marcelinho, who has recovered from a fractured middle finger on his left hand.

Finishing fourth in the qualifying round, with the same record as Pinheiros and Brasília (second and third, respectively), Flamengo advanced directly to the quarterfinals. Their opponent, however, will only be known after the round of 12, between the teams ranked fifth through 28.04th. Flamengo's first game will be on April XNUMX.

"The friendlies will be good for getting the rhythm going, as the team will be out of action for a long time, from the last qualifying game to the first playoff game," explained coach Gonzalo Garcia.

For Marcelinho, the matches will also be important. The player spent three weeks away from the court recovering from a broken finger and missed Flamengo's final four qualifying matches.

"I always try to look on the bright side. If I was supposed to break my finger, at least it happened before the playoffs. I returned to training at the beginning of the week, I'm feeling good and I hope I can help Flamengo from now on," Marcelinho.

Ala Guto is operated on

Winger Guto underwent surgery on Friday (April 20.04) for a herniated disc in his lower back. The player is doing well. There is still no estimate as to when he will be able to play again.
