Last Saturday (1st), Flamengo debuted in the Carioca Youth Basketball Championship and achieved three victories, all against ASP. Club Municipal at home.
The first victory was for the U13s, who defeated ASP. Club Municipal 50-36. Then, the U15s defeated the same team 79-45. Completing the red-and-black day, the U17s won 65-37 and closed the day with the third positive result for the Mais Querido.
Completing the youth categories, the under-14s and under-19s play on Wednesday (5), both against Fluminense, at home.
The tournament will be played in a home-and-away format in the first phase. The top eight teams then play in the quarterfinals. Those who qualify advance to the semifinals and, finally, the final. All series are best-of-three.
