The third phase of the Basketball Development League (LDB) begins this Wednesday (September 16.09th), and the beloved team will take to the court on the very first day of the new stage of the competition. The Flamengo U-22 team, which has been competing in the LDB since July of this year, will face the Paulistano team at the Clube Internacional de Regatas in Santos, one of the three venues for the third stage of the tournament.

The clash between Flamengo and Paulistano remains etched in the memory of Flamengo fans. The professional teams of both clubs competed in the final of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) in 2014, in which FlaBasquete emerged victorious, taking home their third consecutive championship in the competition.

The Flamengo Rowing Club's basketball teams receive funding from their sponsors – CSN (Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional), Banco Bonsucesso, and Brasil Brokers – through the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sport (Income Tax), as well as support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) stemming from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
