Flamengo makes its debut this Saturday (April 28.04) in the NBB4 playoffs. The red-and-black team faces Uberlândia at 18 p.m. at the Uberlândia Tênis Clube gymnasium (MG) in the first match of the best-of-five quarterfinals. Fourth in the qualifying round, the Rio de Janeiro team has the home court advantage.

The second game will take place on May 01.05st at 17 p.m. at Tijuca Tênis Clube in Rio, and the third on May 04.05th at 19 p.m. at the same location. If necessary, the fourth game will be played on May 08.05th in Uberlândia, and the fifth on May 11.05th in Rio.

The last time they faced each other, in the second round of the competition, Flamengo prevailed at their opponent's home ground: 98-96 in overtime. It was the first time in four meetings in NBB history that Flamengo defeated Uberlândia.

"We can't use the qualifying round as a benchmark. The playoffs are a different tournament. Now everything is reset, everything starts all over again," said coach Gonzalo Garcia, who analyzed the opponent: "Uberlândia is an opponent we know very well. They're a team with great potential and a perimeter game that I consider the best in the league," he added.

Captain Marcelinho agrees:

"It's a very strong team, which didn't finish in the top four in the qualifying phase due to small details (Uberlândia finished in fifth place). So, we have to be very careful and go in focused," he said.

"The key to getting through to the semifinals is in the defensive sector," concluded Gonzalo.
