FlaBasquete took to the court on Thursday night (18), for the NBB, and beat the Corinthians team 98 to 85, at Maracanãzinho. Leo Demetrio and Yago were the highlights of the match with 19 points each. With the triumph, the Pride of the Nation secured the first place in the classification phase in advance.

The game
Flamengo's first two points were scored by Leo Demetrio on a drive, where he was fouled and scored another. The red-and-black team imposed its rhythm and had a strong start to the fourth quarter. Quickly transitioning from defense to attack, Mengão seized opportunities to score and open up a lead. In the final minutes, Corinthians fought back and reduced the red-and-black lead to 24-19.

At the start of the second quarter, the São Paulo team kept the match fairly even. Hettsheimeir was excellent, especially on the attack. In a beautiful play in the paint, Mineiro exchanged passes with Marquinhos and delivered a spectacular dunk. Leo Demetrio hit his first three-pointer of the match, tying the score. In another beautiful play, Yago found Leo Demetrio to set up a three-pointer and convert two more. The Pride of the Nation finished the quarter ahead by one point: 43-42.

In the third quarter, Leo Demetrio continued to unbalance the game and converted another three-pointer. Distributing the ball well, the red-and-black team proved solid on defense and precise on offense, managing to jump the scoreboard. FlaBasquete managed a sequence of three-pointers with Yago (2), Hettsheimeir, and Chuzito. Yago had a brilliant fourth quarter, helping Fla open up a 72-60 lead.

In the final quarter, the Pride of the Nation maintained its high intensity and continued to score points. A standout performance was Marquinhos, who had an excellent fourth quarter and was instrumental in the red-and-black team's 98-85 victory.
